Story
A life is lost to suicide every 11 minutes in the United States. Yet most Americans are unaware that suicide affects millions of people every year. Family Services’ Samaritans program works tirelessly to address this major public health concern and prevent suicide among youth and adults in your community. Won’t you join us in that effort?
On Saturday, October 18, Family Services will host its 9th annual Samaritans Walk for Hope to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention. A major goal of this event is to show support for the families and friends of the more than 49,000 Americans who die by suicide and the 20 million people who suffer from depression each year.
Together, we can create a community of hope, healing, and resilience.
