Welcome to Lori's fundraising page for the Scott Carter Foundation!

I am so excited to be running the 5k and Half Marathon #13 during the WDW Marathon Weekend in January 2025 with this amazing charity.

As a former pediatric nurse and a current L&D nurse, I am very passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. I am honored to combine this with my love of running and of course Disney to help such a great organization!

Any donation big or small will go towards reaching my fundraising goal, and more importantly will help researchers find a cure for pediatric cancer !

About the Scott Carter Foundation

The SCF is devoted to raising funds for children's cancer research. Scott was a 13-year old boy who died in December 1993 after a courageous three-year battle with bone cancer. He believed that if enough time, energy and money were devoted to children's cancer research, a cure could be found. During the duration of his illness, he put together a remarkable collection of sports and celebrity memorabilia, which was previously on display at the Wide World of Sports. Each year, SCF partners with runDisney to participate in all their run events to raise money and further Scott's dream of finding a cure!
