I am raising funds for Headway, a UK charity dedicated to improving life after brain injury.
As many of you already know, at the end of last year I fell and suffered a serious concussion. I am well on my way to a full recovery, and this summer I have walked the Pilgrims' Way from Southwark in London to Canterbury in Kent. It took several months for me to return to taking long walks, something I have always loved to do, and completing this challenge is particularly meaningful. I finished the walk in 13 days, covered 100+ miles, navigated the route, learned a little history, and watched the landscape evolve from the density of London to the beautiful, open Kent countryside.
