Charlotte has decided for her 11th birthday she would like to do the Highland Swing and has chosen this as the perfect opportunity to raise money for Alex TLC.
Alex TLC are a charity very close to our hearts within the Dale family. In 2022 my brother Will (Charlotte’s uncle), was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of leukodystrophy called Adrenolmyeloneuropathy.
Leukodystrophies are rare genetic disorders that mainly affect the white matter of the central nervous system (ie the brain or spinal cord). They affect people of all ages and backgrounds, most notably children.
Leukodystrophies are usually degenerative, causing symptoms such as impaired mobility, vision, speech and hearing, incontinence,and loss of cognitive skills. In many cases, this sadly means a reduced or limited lifespan.
Your donation will help Alex TLC continue to provide the best support possible to those affected.
