RNCI covers the North East of Scotland bringing countryside education to schools via farm visits, food and farming days and STEM days. We also supply resources into schools to enhance learning for the pupils. This is vital work to give pupils balanced information about how their food is produced.

Story

Huge thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

RNCI (Royal Northern Countryside Initiative) are a fantastic North East charity which supports Primary School Teachers in ensuring that pupils receive education (in the classroom and also out on field/ farm trips). The learning covers local food provenance; rural environment; nature and farming matters. It is vital that children learn about these aspects in order that they can make informed choices when they are adults. It is hoped that this experience and learning gives these pupils the best chance in life to be healthy with a great work ethic. RNCI are a hugely wonderful charity and need our support.

NFU Mutual Offices at Laurencekirk, Thainstone and Keith and Turriff are our key sponsor and their generosity is amazing. Ali Johnston (our brilliant RNCI Chief !), wee Tyne and myself are very grateful for any donations which you can add to the kickstart donations which NFU Mutual's Andy Mackle; Stephen Hepburn, Tommy Brodie, Ross Silvers, Sarah Law, Richard Thompson and Rosslyn Reid have pledged. Thank you LOTS !! Lorna x
