Laura and I taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on the 6th April 2025 to raise money for a wonderful charity - The Vavengers!

The Vavengers are a UK-based charity committed to ending Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) and all other forms of Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG).

An estimated 137,000 women and girls live with FGM/C in England and Wales and a further 60,000 girls under 15 are at risk.

Cases are often only detected if a survivor receives a physical examination, and this is usually during pregnancy.

When cases go undetected, countless women and girls do not receive the healthcare and support they need.

The Vavengers are a UK-based female, survivor and migrant-led anti-Gender-Based-Violence organisation, providing direct support to survivors of VAWG. They educate and campaign globally to create systemic change.

Laura and I are incredibly proud to be raising money for such a wonderful charity and we very much hope that you will support us in reaching our fundraising goal.
