On Sunday 28th April, we will be taking part in Worthing Run-Fest in aid of Worthing Mencap. Taking on the challenge to raise much needed funds to help a fantastic independent charity continue to be able to provide life changing services to people with a learning disability and/ or autism in the local community.

Worthing Mencap is a local, independent charity providing support and services for people with learning disabilities and/ or autism, their families and carers in Worthing and the surrounding areas.

Worthing Mencap are committed to raising awareness of the rights and needs of people with a learning disability and/ or autism as well as providing a vital support service and vast and varied activities programme.

Their services and activities help people with learning disabilities and/ or autism to:

gain independence

build confidence

make friends & socialise

have fun

develop new interests

get involved in the local community.

We are running for all the amazing members, volunteers, staff and supporters of Worthing Mencap. Lorna is also running in memory of Tina Smith, a dear Aunt who had Down Syndrome and brought so much joy and fun to her life as a child.

Anything you can give will be very much appreciated and will make a huge difference to the people Worthing Mencap support.
