500km of events for 2024

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2023 we sadly lost my wonderful Grandma Christine. For many years she had Parkinson’s and it completely changed her life and the lives of those closest to her. I saw the difference that Parkinson’s UK made, and it’s not just about research but also community support for those with Parkinson’s and their partners/family. It makes a difference.

Over 2024 I will be running 500km of running events, which averages out to almost a marathon per month. Though I skipped marathons and take part in ultra marathons instead, of which I have 5 planned so far this year amongst lots of smaller events. There is also a lot of training that goes into running numerous big events, without the usual recovery time, in a year. It’s going to be a challenge and that’s the point.

Donations of any size are most deeply appreciated and are made in memory of Christine Lindon, the kindest Grandma someone could ever have.
