In my infinite wisdom I’m taking on Ride to the Sun 2026 - a 100 mile overnight cycle from Carlisle to Cramond, chasing the sunrise on the summer solstice.

I’m doing this in support of the PBC Foundation, a Scottish charity I’m incredibly grateful to after receiving support following my own PBC diagnosis. For those that may not know, PBC is a chronic autoimmune condition which gradually damages the small bile ducts in the liver.

This challenge is just a wee bit out of my comfort zone (I’ve previously only cycled 16 miles in one day!) but it feels like a meaningful way to give back. I also hope to show others that living with PBC doesn’t mean you can’t do hard things; you can still set big goals, chase your dreams and live life to the full.
