I needed a focus, something to motivate me to get back into exercise - for many reasons, a challenge I thought, would be a great idea! Nothing as hard as mountain climbing but something that would be difficult for me to do today, so I need to train. I am very excited, even though nervous about the hike, to be joining Only A Pavement Away's Fourth Annual Hiking Against Homelessness Event which takes place in the Brecon Beacons on 17th May.

This year the team of just 30 hikers will take on a 15km hike across the most challenging parts of the Brecon Beacons in aid of raising money for our incredible members at Only A Pavement Away.

Only A Pavement Away, established in 2018, aims to connect forward thinking employers in the hospitality industry and charities working with people facing or experiencing homelessness, prison leavers and veterans, to help place them into long term, stable employment.
