I finally get the chance to run the London Marathon … 21st April 2024 I will be pounding the streets of London, past the Cutty Sark, over the London Bridge, past Big Ben and down the Mal past Buckingham Palace …… I would like to put all my hard work and effort to good use by raising money for Warwickshire Search and Rescue … Warwickshire Search and Rescue is an operational Lowland Rescue team (one of 36 teams in the UK), set up to assist the police with searchers for vulnerable missing persons within Warwickshire and beyond. They are on call 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

They are a registered charity and receive no funding from the government. All members of the team are unpaid volunteers, who finance their own personal kit and travel expenses. However, they rely completely on donations to keep the team operational, purchase essential team equipment and to be able to provide the best professional training for its members.
