I am taking part in Colostomy UK's annual Step Up for Stomas, Active April fundraiser!

As most of you know I became a member of the stoma family last year. It was unexpected and a big change to my lifestyle and daily routine. Unfortunately the biggest thing I've I've noticed is that there's a big lack of awareness for those with stomas. To be fair I was not aware that 1 in 335 (approx) people have a stoma, until I got mine.

Most people would not even realise that I have a stoma, and I'm often looked at for using disabled bathrooms, but that's because my disability is not visible.

My mission is to raise as much awareness as possible and help other through the change of adjusting to life with a stoma.
