Story
I'm taking part in the November Knitting Challenge to support families facing dementia. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity.
As you may know, this is a subject very close to my heart, and I love knitting, so why not combine the two and get to raise some funds for a very worthwhile charity at the same time.
I decided to do a bit of crochet too, so scarves and blankets will be what I'll create.
Dementia UK nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
