Eighty for 80 Alabaré Sky Dive · 1 June 2024 ·

ALABARÉ is a leading UK charity committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness. Founded in 1991 by a Christian community, we are now a lifeline for those experiencing homelessness across the South West of England and Wales, by providing homes, restoring hearts, and empowering minds.

Story

On June 1st 2024, I will be jumping out of a plane!

"Why would you do this?!" I hear you ask.....

It's not just for the adrenaline rush!

I'm taking part in Eighty for 80, a fundraising skydive to support Alabaré in their work with homeless veterans.

Commemorating 80 years since the D-Day Landings in France, 80 intrepid skydivers are making the jump in tribute to those brave servicemen who landed on the Normandy Beaches 80 years ago.

In Salisbury we have a large veteran population, people who have served in our Armed Forces. Sadly, some of those people haven't found life as stable as others after returning to civilian life, and Alabaré aim to support those veterans. The money I raise will help them to do just that.

If you have read this far, thank you, and I appreciate any amount you feel you are able to contribute to my fundraising pot.

My fundraising target is £395, this is exclusively for the charity.

A registration fee of £50 is also charged and I am fundraising for that too - without doing so, I can't do the jump! I would be so grateful if you could make this happen!
