Story

Hi, We are Hettie, Betty, Delilah and Penny, a Year 4 team taking part in the Restless Development Triathlon at Marlborough College with thousands of others at other venues across the country.

This will be our very first triathlon, and it’s safe to say we’re feeling nervous and excited. Each of us has to swim 50m, cycle 2km and run 1km as well as raise money for Restless Development.

Taking part in something like this for the first time is a huge step for us. It’s not just about crossing the finish line — it’s about building confidence, trying something new, and showing that even at a young age, we can take on big challenges and make a difference. The event will really test our teamwork, resilience, and determination.

We’re especially proud to be doing this in support of Restless Development, a charity that works with young people around the world to create lasting change. The money we raise will help fund vital programmes focused on education, health, and livelihoods — supporting young leaders to tackle issues like inequality, climate change, and access to opportunities in their communities.

Every donation, big or small, will help empower other young people to build a better future — and will motivate us to keep going when things get tough during the race!

Thank you so much for your support — we really appreciate it!
