August 2023, I'd never run more than 5km. Then, I signed up for Hyrox Doubles, and competed for the first time in January 2024 just 6 months after I ran first ever 6km, then 8km, then 10km.

I am undertaking a huge challenge of my first half marathon ever - before I'm 30, no less - for a charity than is close to my heart and directly benefiting my local area. I've raised money for Women's Aid UK before, and the opportunity to raise funds for their Salford independent charity that helps women and children in my local area, around my office, around my flat, around my favourite food and drink spots, find safe accommodation away from unsafe people and places means the world to me.
