Brighton Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·

Thank you for supporting us. We help people living with multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's Disease and stroke survivors by offering a number of life changing and supportive therapies and treatments enabling them to live their best lives.

Story

The Chilterns Neuro Centre, is a local charity nestled in the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire, that supports people living with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s and Stroke. We provide many services, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, support for loved ones and carers, to name a few. The members describe the Centre as their lifeline, offering time, advice and support that other organisations cannot. Not only this, but the sense of belonging and friendship flows throughout the Centre, offering a real community at a time when people can feel lost and very alone.

We’re both passionate physiotherapists, Louise working for the Chilterns Neuro Centre for the last 10 years, whilst James works in the NHS.

Post-London marathon 2024 fever took hold and before we knew it, we’d entered the ballot for London 2025, with Brighton as our back up. All before we’d run our first 10km event at Run Prestwood.

To date, we have completed our first half marathon, the Milton Keynes Winter half, in the midst of storm Darragh. Training for Brighton is going well, but any support you can offer will spur us on.

It’s likely that at some point in our lives, we will all be touched by the impact of one of these neurological conditions. We hope to raise awareness and vital funds to continue the positive the Chilterns Neuro Centre does. THANK YOU xx
