I’m running the York 10K on August 2, 2026, to support the incredible work and team of the RSPCA York & Harrogate and to say thank you for rescuing Dougal. I don’t know how they keep doing what they do in the face of what they experience. But they do. Their patience and commitment took Dougal from horrific circumstances to a dog that brings us joy, fun and incessant barking - his way of telling us he now loves life! Sorry about Dougal’s photo but that’s the reality of what the team have to deal with sometimes. They are an independent charity, primarily self-funded. Every penny raised goes directly towards caring for local York animals.

On average, they successfully rehome around 400 animals each year into loving forever homes, including ours. This is remarkable and I’d like to raise £1,000 to help them continue. Anything you can spare is hugely appreciated. Dougal says Thank you and woof woof woof woof woof (I could go on…..)
