Story
As many of you know, our incredible best friend Cath was diagnosed with cancer at the end of 2023 following a 10 year battle with Ulcerative Colitis. True to her nature, she faced everything with extraordinary strength and unwavering optimism. Tragically, Cath passed away in December 2024 at just 35 years old.
Losing Cath has been incredibly difficult. Her absence is felt every single day. We are doing our best to cope by focusing on the joyful memories we shared and by channelling our grief into something positive. Running the Marathon is one way we can honour Catherine’s memory and share her story - one of resilience, humour and love (she really would be laughing at us right now!).
Bowel Research UK is a charity dedicated to funding new treatments and potential cures for bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and other bowel disorders. Their goal is to save lives while also enabling people living with chronic bowel conditions to enjoy a much better quality of life.
This is a charity we know Cath would have supported and we are determined to raise funds and awareness in her name - our bestfriend who we miss so much and who continues to inspire us every day
Bowel Research UK is funding life-changing research into bowel cancer and other bowel diseases.
