Story
I'm a 17-year-old photographer from Sheffield, and for my Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award I wanted to raise money in a way that actually used my skills rather than just asking people to donate.
So over the next six months, I'm photographing 20 Sheffield businesses — offering professional photography in exchange for whatever donation they feel reflects the value of the work and the cause. Each business gets high-resolution images with full commercial usage rights. Shoots like this would typically cost £150–£300+, but this way the money goes somewhere that matters.
I chose Sheffield Children's Hospital because as a young person building a business in this city, it felt right to give something back locally. The hospital supports thousands of families across the region, and this is my small way of contributing.
Target: £1,000 by August 2026.
