Story
Years ago, my son-in-law and daughter were involved in a court case to get access to my now step-granddaughter Amelia.
It was an incredibly difficult time for them but with the support of charity Shared Parenting Scotland, they were able to navigate the very difficult Scottish court system. We cannot imagine life without our bonus granddaughter, who is also such a lovely sister to our grandchildren Sophie and Alec. In support of Shared Parenting Scotland, I will be walking the WeeWander Kiltwalk with Miranda.
It is also an opportunity to show off my own kilt! I have been living in Scotland for a number of years now and I was gifted a kilt for my 70th birthday. The kiltwalk is the perfect occasion to wear it.

Shared Parenting Scotland exists only to promote Shared Parenting. Kids whose Mum and Dad split up have a fundamental human right to an ongoing, loving caring, nurturing relationship with both their parents, where both their parents are safe. Kids who maintain contact with both their parents have better outcomes. They are more successful in school, in relationships, at work and they are healthier too. We help nearly a thousand parents every year with contact problems after separation. If you can't take part in a Kiltwalk yourself, please consider a donation to support us to raise some money so that we can help even more parents in future. If you are a taxpayer we can recover an additional 25p for every £1 you raise by way of sponsorship from friends and family. Any donation you can spare will mean the world to me and my chosen charity. Thank you!
