Story:

I will be joining my first Mellon Educate Building Blitz in South Africa this November alongside 10 colleagues/volunteers from Clancy. Whilst there, we’ll be building classrooms, toilets, and playgrounds to give children a safe, inspiring place to learn.

Background:

The Mellon Educate 'Building Blitz' is a one-week volunteer project helping construct/transform schools and facilities in underprivileged communities in South Africa.

This year we will be heading to the 2 x sites chosen will be Impendulo PS and Nkazimlo PS both in the Makhaza township on the outskirts of Cape Town. We will be in the field, hands-on working alongside other volunteers from around the globe, locals and other charitable foundations helping the local community building and improving school’s amenities, services, recreation areas and provide safe and sound spaces for local children to play, learn, and be educated.

Whilst there, we’ll be building classrooms, toilets, and playgrounds to give children a safe, inspiring place to learn.

Every donation helps create lasting change through education. Thank you for your support!
