This year Verwood Concert Brass achieved unprecedented success at our Regional Brass Band Contest. Our Principal Band achieved 3rd place in the Championship Section, qualifying for the National Brass Band Finals at the Albert Hall. My band, the Town Band, came 2nd in the Second Section, qualifying for the National Brass Band Finals in York & earning promotion to the First Section. As much as this is wonderful news, it will cost the band thousands of pounds for both bands to go.

I have more challenges coming up this spring. Running the Manchester Marathon in April, followed by the Brighton, Run to the Sea Ultra Marathon (31miles) in May. If anyone is able to sponsor me to complete my running challenges I would love to use this money to help our bands achieve the dream of both bands taking part in the 2026 National Brass Band Finals in the Autumn.
