Story
On the 26th of April 2026, I will be running the London Marathon. I am so happy to be running for Hope House Children’s Hospice. This charity is incredibly close to my family’s heart.
When my darling brother Fergus’s seven-year cancer battle was reaching an inevitable end, we were introduced to Hope House, a charity that puts children and families first. They were amazing and enabled my brother to spend the last few months in the comfort of his home, surrounded by family and dogs! I was able to come home from primary school and spend time with my brother, which I would never have been able to do if he had been in hospital.
The never-ending care from the nurses was incredible; they were always smiling, making Fergus as comfortable as possible, and playing along with his pranks. They took Fergus and me on various adventures, giving my parents some much-needed time to breathe and prepare. They continued to support my parents and me for years after Fergus died.
I have witnessed what this beautiful charity does, making the hardest of times that little bit easier. I am forever grateful that I got as much time with my brother as I did, and I cannot thank Hope House enough. I want to raise this money so another family can have the hardest moment made that little bit easier.
