We fight for a world without iron overload to prevent serious illness and save lives

Story

Now that a year has passed since the tragic and untimely death of our adored Miranda Mchardy, we hope to raise some funds for the charity Haemochromatosis UK. This important and amazing charity supports people with Haemochromatosis which is an inherited genetic condition which ultimately severely damaged Miranda. Crucially the charity offers testing to try to identify iron overload in younger people before they are adversely affected, treatment is easy and lives will be saved with early diagnosis. Andrew and Iona McHardy, India Forbes-Leith, Polly Ballantine and myself Louisa Leader are all running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on the 7th April and we hope that you might give encouragement and support the charity by sponsoring us. This life affirming adventure will hopefully be fun and a celebration of Miranda’s amazing generosity of spirit and kindness. If you can please come along to cheer for us and click on the link to help us raise valuable funds for Haemochromatosis UK.
