Louise's fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis Society

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm running the 2025 Berlin Marathon, to support the work of the MS Society. After some problems with my vision in 2023, and after lots of tests, scans and a lumbar puncture, I was diagnosed with MS in 2024. Fortunately, I have had incredible support from friends, family and MS support networks.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move, think and feel.
More than 150,000 people in the UK have MS. Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the condition and its symptoms.
The MS Society is here to help everyone live well with MS.
Every year they reach thousands of people with help and support through their MS Helpline and local groups. They campaign on the issues that matter most to the MS community. And they invest in ground-breaking research to stop MS in its tracks.
Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
