Louise's fundraiser for The Isabel Baker Foundation

Velocity 2 · 11 May 2024 ·
Founded in 2015, The Isabel Baker Foundation has worked hard to support families living with Childhood Cancer. It was originally set up in memory of Isabel Baker who passed away from Infantile Acute Leukaemia just eight days after her first birthday.
The Isabelle Baker Foundation supports families at crisis point and is entirely funded by donations. Some of what they do includes, providing funding dry suits for a child so they can safely enjoy water, providing food vouchers to families in financial difficulty whilst their child receives treatment and providing grants to families to fund complimentary therapies. So far helping over 950 families to date. In 2023 Isabel's Retreat was opened this enables them to offer families whose children have life limiting or terminal illnesses free holidays as well as holidays to bereaved parents.

To help raise funds, the foundation are running a group event on 11th May, a sponsored charity Zipline event. For most this sounds like a fun and exciting day out, but for me, with a fear of heights, it'll be quite the challenge. The event is taking place at Zip World on the world's fastest zipline 😱 In addition, throughout the month of April on the lead up to the event, I'll be working 100 miles across the month to make it even more of a challenge.
If you can spare any pennies or pounds to help encourage me and to support this amazing small charity, I would be incredibly grateful and you'd be helping to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others so thank you 🙏
