I once had a conversation with my mum that went something like this:

Me: "Mum I think after looking after the runners at work, I could train up to a half marathon one day"

Mum: *looks at me like I'm an alien* "You hate sport and you hate running..."

Well Mum, now I'm running Royal Parks in your memory so really I get the last laugh, right?...

In May 2025 we lost my lovely mum Yvette after a 15 month battle with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer. Since then, I've tried my best to honour her memory and the family have come together to raise an amazing amount for North London Hospice so far. Now is my turn.

North London Hospice provided so much for my mum, my dad, me, family and friends during her short stay. I truly believe that the reason mum was able to let go so quickly and peacefully is that she was truly relaxed with the staff and the environment.

I'm really proud to work for the hospice and I'm really proud to be raising money for them once again. Please do give what you can, every pound helps.
