Hello wonderful people 😻,

I am incredibly excited to share that I will be running my FIRST ever marathon — the full 26.2 miles (that's 42.16 km!) — the Brighton Marathon on 12th April 2026. While I mostly run short distances, this is a huge step for me, especially since my longest training run so far has been just 20 miles which i had to gradually build up to.

I was born with a hole in my heart, fitness has always been a challenge, and as a child, I was often told I couldn’t participate in cardio activities such as P.E. due to my health. But after five months of dedicated training and building up my strength, I am determined to break barriers and achieve something truly remarkable for an incredible cause.

This cause is deeply personal to me, as recently, I rescued two kittens who were abandoned in a cardboard box outside Sainsbury's — innocent lives left vulnerable and voiceless.

The RSPCA Kent, Ashford, Tenterden & District Branch cattery is now facing its most critical challenge yet: without urgent support, it is due to close within months. Rising vet bills, essential building repairs, and declining income have pushed them into crisis just as more frightened and abandoned cats arrive needing urgent care. This shelter is their only safe haven — a lifeline that must not be lost.

Every donation helps keep the doors open at this vital cattery, provides urgent veterinary care for animals in desperate need, modernises facilities to better serve our furry friends, and protects services that countless animals and people rely on every day. Together we can ensure these vulnerable cats continue to have hope and a second chance at life.
