Story
This May I’ll be taking part in Swim for Endo to raise awareness and vital funds to support the 1 in 10 living with endometriosis. I’ll be swimming up to 9 km during May.
As many of you will be aware this is a cause very close to my heart as our daughter Francesca has suffered from her early teens from endometriosis. It took nearly ten years to get a diagnosis and since then she has had a number of surgeries for the condition and continues to suffer. This condition is so often dismissed by many including the medical profession. We have friends who also suffer and this is one way I feel I can show support to Fran and our other friends.
Endometriosis is a chronic condition, and in the UK it takes on average over 9 years to receive a diagnosis. That’s far too long for people to wait for answers and care.
Endometriosis UK is here to provide support, trusted information, and to campaign for earlier diagnosis and better care so no one has to face endometriosis alone.
Please do support this worthwhile charity if you feel able for Fran and all the other very brave women out there 🥰
