On May the 4th, 18 family and friends take on the challenge of the Belfast city marathon for Friends of the Cancer Centre in loving memory of Eimir Martin and John Murphy.

Eimir’s sister Aine was married to John and sadly they both passed away from Cancer just over a year apart at the young ages of 35 and 41.

Eimir in particular always wanted to run a marathon so we are delighted to be able to take part in this years Marathon in her and John’s memory.

Friends of the Cancer Centre in Belfast, Derry and Fermanagh provided support to Eimir, John and their families during the most difficult days. So as a group we want to give something back to the charity so they can continue to provide much love and support to other families.

Niamh, Enda and Barry take on the gruelling 26.2 miles while 15 of us take on the team relay.
