Story
I’m running the Hackney Half Marathon on the 18th of May, in memory of my Auntie Siobhan who was diagnosed with dementia in 2016 at only 52 years old, and sadly passed away in 2022, just six years later.
She was a kind, loving, and vibrant person, and it’s heartbreaking that this cruel disease took her away from us. Alzheimer’s Research UK is working tirelessly to find a cure, and every donation, big or small, will help fund vital research to change the future for those affected. Please support me in running my first half marathon event to honor Siobhan’s memory. Hopefully together we can make a difference and help end the heartbreak of dementia.

Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
We are the UK's leading dementia research charity. We exist for a cure.
Your donation helps our scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
