This summer I’ll be running the Leamington Half Marathon to help raise vital funds for Myton Hospice — a charity incredibly close to my heart.

Myton Hospice provided the most unbelievable care and support for my beloved Jim during the final days of his two-year battle with multiple myeloma, allowing him to finish his journey his way, surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of his own home. Not only did they care for Jim with kindness, dignity and compassion but they also supported our family through an unimaginably difficult time. Their team has a remarkable way of bringing calm, warmth and light to even the hardest days.

This will be my first ever half. I’ll be heading to the start line feeling nervous and excited. Running again is a huge milestone and a challenge outside my comfort zone, but one that pales in comparison to what Jim faced with unwavering strength, hope, courage, and fortitude — making this moment deeply meaningful.

Jim always loved supporting a good cause, so I know he’d love this and will be cheering me on every step of the way 🧡
