A milestone birthday, a bucket-list adventure, and a chance to support a charity that changes lives. ❤️🥾🏔️

In October 2026, I will be celebrating my 60th birthday in a way that is both challenging and meaningful.

Together with my husband, Rab, I will be hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, a four-day trek through the Peruvian Andes.

This journey is particularly special to me. As a cancer survivor, walking through the Sun Gate at sunrise and catching my first glimpse of Machu Picchu has long been on my bucket list. It is something I have dreamed of achieving for many years, and reaching that moment will be a powerful personal milestone.

We have already begun training and preparing ourselves for the challenge ahead. The trek will test our fitness, stamina and determination, especially at high altitude, but every step will be worth it.

As Chair of Trustees of Integration Support, I am incredibly proud of the work the charity does. Anyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about its values and the difference it makes to people's lives.

I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be part of their local community, build friendships, access support when they need it, and lead a full and meaningful life. Integration Support works tirelessly to make that possible, helping people feel valued, included and connected.
