Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Admiral Swansea Bay 10K run on 17th September in memory of my brother Stephen Penn.
Steve died suddenly 6 years ago at the age of 36. Struggling with alcohol dependency for many years, left Steve with end stage liver damage. This along with being prescribed antidepressants by his GP, (that he should never have been given due to his alcoholism), caused a rare condition called Serotonin Syndrome that ultimately led to his death.
I have always admired people competing in races and never thought I would ever be one of those participating. But I am doing this race in memory of my big brother and to support a charity that endeavours to help others, like Steve, who have struggles with alcohol misuse.
