Story
As the Mayor of Wokingham Town, my charity of the year is the amazing local charity CLASP, (Caring, Listening, and Supporting Partnership).
They give so much to our local community that I want to give something back to them. So, I'm running the Wokingham Half Marathon on Sunday 22 February to raise money and awareness of this incredible organisation.
CLASP is a fantastic local charity and self-advocacy group for people with learning disabilities in the Wokingham Borough.
They:
• Are run by its members, for its members
• Provide paid jobs and volunteering opportunities
• Support their members to have their say about how local services are developed, provide one to one support, information, advice and signposting.
I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the members and staff in the last 7 months and I've been blown away by what a creative, talented and determined group of people they are. You can find our more about them here: CLASP.
I'm very grateful for all donations!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
UPDATE: Huge thanks to my dad who has taken the money raised to over £1000!
