St Mungos is one of very few charities which help bring homeless people and their pets off the streets together into their shelters and housing.

I have watched homelessness increase in London exponentially over the past 8 years and I see many people and their dogs living on the streets. I’m lucky to have a warm home to live in so I want to help give something to those struggling people and their pets who are far less fortunate than I am.

“At St Mungo’s, we understand the powerful emotional support that pets can provide. That’s why we’re one of the few charities that offers pet-friendly services for people experiencing homelessness.

A pet can be a source of comfort and protection for someone sleeping on the streets. This leads to many people being forced to choose between shelter and their pet.”

Thankfully St Mungos keep those sleeping on the streets with their pets together and doesn’t force them to choose. This is something I feel strongly about and is why I chose this charity in particular.

I am asking for a donation from anyone who believes this is a worthy cause like I do, and I am asking for a donation in place of Christmas presents this year. I have more than enough and want to give back to those people suffering this winter on our streets.
