Jessica will be walking 68,000 steps in June to raise money for kidney patients
We are asking our supporters to walk or run 68,000 steps during the month of June. This figure represents the number of people in the UK being treated for end stage renal failure.

Story

Jessica has wanted to do something to raise money for kidney patients for a while now and has decided to do this walk in June for the National Kidney Federation.

I was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease at 21 and am currently at stage 3, which means regular medication, check ups and blood tests with Addenbrookes and my consultants. Luckily for me, my kidney function remains stable at around 47% and I have no need for dialysis or a transplant yet but many people are not so lucky. There are currently 68,000 people in the UK being treated for kidney failure hence the 68,000 steps Jessica will be completing. Even if you can spare just a couple of pounds she would be very grateful and all money raised will go to this very worthwhile charity close to our hearts.

Thank you

Jessica and Louise
