Story
In 2018, after complications post surgery, I was placed in a medically induced coma and admitted to the neuro intensive care unit at University Hospitals Plymouth (Derriford). After 10 days in ICU, I was transferred to a ward where my recovery began. I spent 89 days in total in hospital.

During my 3 month stay, I fought many battles. Alongside my family, what got me through were the staff. Their care and compassion was neverending and unwavering. Whether during the day or in the middle of the night, they shared my lows and my highs, my tears and laughter, and got me through the toughest of times. They will never know how grateful I am - they saved my life and they saved me.
Plymouth Hospitals Charity are holding the 'Santa Slide' event over the weekend of 9th and 10th December. 9th December is very close to the date I was discharged from ICU to the ward....5 years ago!
To celebrate, I had to do something huge.....
So, I'm going to dress as Santa and fly over the biomes of the Eden Project on England's longest and fastest zip wire!
With a fear of heights and fear of the unknown, I am going to conquer my fears head and raise money for the fantastic teams who saved my life.
Please support me if you can
