I am running the London Marathon for my friend Fin, who we tragically lost to suicide in May 2023.

Fin and I met during our Biochemistry course, and he quickly became an irreplaceable part of my life—from lectures and labs to cheering on F1 races and sharing laughs at the pub. I miss talking with him, laughing with him, and just being his friend.

As a child, Fin was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), a degenerative eye condition that gradually causes sight loss. In his memory, I am raising money for Retina UK, the only UK charity dedicated solely to helping people with inherited sight loss.

Retina UK fund amazing medical research to create treatments and cures for conditions like RP while also providing vital practical and emotional support for those with degenerative eye conditions and their families.
