Story
Some people run the London Marathon to tick it off their bucket list.
I'm running because I know what a children's hospice means to a family when their world is turned upside down.
Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith were there for my family when we needed them most. As the sibling of a child who received their support, I've seen first-hand that a children's hospice is so much more than people imagine.
They don't just care for children. They care for entire families. They create precious memories, support parents and siblings, and when the unimaginable happens, they provide a safe, loving place where families can spend precious final moments together and say goodbye with dignity.
Every one of my 26.2 miles is a thank you.
A thank you for the kindness, compassion and support they gave my family—and for the families they'll help tomorrow.
Every year, Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith must raise over £10 million because government funding covers only around two months of their running costs. Without donations, they simply couldn't continue changing lives.
I can't repay what they gave my family.
But I can run.
And you can help.
If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small, you'll be helping ensure another family receives the same care, compassion and hope when they need it most.
Because my marathon is 26.2 miles.
For some families, the hardest journey has no finish line.
