Three Peaks Challenge · 6 June 2024

Lincoln Private Investment Office Foundation is focused on supporting UK-based smaller charities with their goals.

Story

Helping young people in care....

On the 6th and 7th June 2024, eight hardy Lincoln Private Investment Office team members will be racing up and down the Three Peaks as fast as possible. The 8 team members (and 1 heroic driver) will be raising money for the Lincoln Foundation, a charity established to provide support to UK-based smaller charities.

The Lincoln Foundation has chosen to support Become, a fabulous charity whose vision is that care-experienced people have the same chances as everyone else to live happy, fulfilled lives. Their mission is to help children in care and young care leavers to believe in themselves and to heal, grow and fulfil their potential. Become work alongside them to make the care system the best it can be.

The Challenge itself is no mean feat, with over 3000 vertical metres climbed, equivalent to ten Shards in height, all completed in just 24 hours. In total, the team will walk for approximately 13 hours and drive for 11 hours to complete the Challenge, including one walk up Scafell Pike totally in the dark.

If the thought of hiking up mountains in the depths of night gives you the shivers then please donate whatever you can to support the team with their efforts and to raise money for a wonderful charity doing extraordinary things to improve the lives of children in care.

Thank you
