Story
Exciting news from the LRC camp! Coach Gentle AKA Charlie is running Manchester marathon this Sunday and raising money for our charity Brake.
You'll know Charlie as coach of Nottingham Roller Derby Arrows. This is his first-ever marathon. We're super proud of him, but at the same time, we're sort of looking forward to him experiencing a little pain in return for all the hard work he makes us do. Don't tell him that.
If you'd like to show your support for Charlie, the Louisey Rider Cup and road safety charity Brake (all at the same time!) You can make a donation here:
We all really appreciate it!
This fundraiser is part of the Louisey Rider Cup, which is an annual roller derby tournament hosted by Nottingham Roller Derby, with 100% of profits going to Road safety charity, Brake.
It celebrates the life of skater Louise Wright, aka Louisey Rider #66, who was sadly taken from us in a cycling accident in 2014. The event is an epic celebration of the things she loved so expect live-action roller derby, snazzy costumes, oodles of glitter and a right ole knees up at the epic after party.
