Story
As some of you know, every few years I like to cut my hair short and start afresh. In 2016, I shaved my head, raising £481 for The British Heart Foundation. In 2021, I cut off 14" of my hair which was then donated to the Little Princess Trust, and raised another £504 for The British Heart Foundation. This time, I have about 16" of hair ready for the chop, and this time I would like to fundraise for The Little Princess Trust to cover the costs of wig making and fitting. My hairdresser appointment is booked for 10th July, so there is plenty of time to donate - however I have been asked to be added to her cancellation list so the date may be brought forward!
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia. It costs The Little Princess Trust around £700 to provide a wig for a young person; around £550 in production cost and £150 in fitting and styling the wig for the young person. Without monetary donations, the wig making would not be possible. However, that is not the only thing your donations go towards - The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK, meaning that every penny you contribute will go towards saving lives of children and young people.
Please consider donating to my fundraising page so that The Little Princess Trust can continue the excellent work they have been doing for the last twenty years.
