Story
In honour of the many people who suffer from scars and burns, I'm aiming to run 62 miles by the time I hit my 26th birthday on March 31!
I would love it if you would consider donating to the Scar Free Foundation - they do some amazing work in supporting patients with debilitating scars and the great research that they support!
Excerpt from the Scar Free Foundation:
Scars are common, costly and can seriously change lives. They can affect anyone at any time. Injury, surgery, and many diseases cause scarring. In the UK, they affect over 20million people and the NHS spends over £8.3billion a year treating acute wounds.
People with scarring experience excruciating pain, restricted movement and function and profound psychological challenges, which can last a lifetime and require complex support.
We work with leading clinicians and researchers to achieve our aim: scar free healing within a generation.
