"Georgia’s Voice is the legacy of beautiful Georgia who took her own life aged 19 during the pandemic in 2020 💜 Our mission is to help support young women aged 18-25 living in Cornwall with mental health concerns, to show them that people do care, and that suicide is not the only option. We provide informal, small, free, safe spaces across Cornwall for young women to talk, listen or just be, we organise regular well-being activities, and provide free counselling for our members. Here at Georgia’s Voice we care about you, because YOU MATTER to us 💜"

Story

I am running the Plymouth half marathon in May, as it’s on my list of (many) things to do before I turn 30!

I am not an expert runner and so far my training has proven that I might very well be running at least 10 miles of the marathon with a numb foot! But I am persevering and pushing on, determined to do this run! 🏃‍♀️

I would like to do it not only for myself but for a purpose and in support of others. So I was made aware of a local charity called Georgia’s Voice and would like to raise some money for them. Mental health is a huge part of my everyday life, in my work, through family, friends and colleagues as well as personally.

Georgia’s Voice provides free, friendly, safe spaces for young women to talk, listen or just be. They aim to prevent the suicides of young women in Cornwall.

So if you would like to donate towards this charity and give me even more determination, please do!

Or if you’d rather show your support and run alongside me, I would appreciate that too! 😁

Thaaaaaaaanks! 🦇 🥰
