Back in 2021, just two days before Christmas and a week shy of my 22nd birthday, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin Lymphoma. While I found chemotherapy relatively manageable, reaching remission felt like having a band-aid ripped off. The familiar hospital support system suddenly vanished, leaving me to cope with the lingering physical effects of treatment on my own. It was during this vulnerable period that the Willow Foundation's support proved invaluable.

The Willow Foundation offers Special Days for seriously ill young adults, providing unforgettable experiences when they are needed most. Thanks to their generosity, I had the incredible opportunity to see "The Lion King," creating a cherished memory during a challenging time. Inspired by this experience, I am now giving back by embarking on a trek to the highest peak in Morocco!

This five-day journey will take me through the Atlas Mountains, culminating at the summit of Mt. Toubkal, which stands at 4,167 meters—the tallest peak in both Morocco and all of North Africa.

Although challenging, this trek is my way of ensuring that someone else in need can experience a special day, just as I did.
