As many of you will know I regularly get into cold water just because I love it so much. But this swim in Shoreham Harbour in December is a special one (not only because we'll be dressed in Santa hats and jumping into the freezing cold en masse but) because it is raising money for the RNLI. The RNLI relies on funding from charitable donations in order to do the incredible work they do - helping to save lives at sea.

RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline, they are our fourth emergency service. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.
