Story
In 2022, my mum passed away from cancer. She was able to die at home, where she wanted to be, surrounded by family and the familiar comfort of her own surroundings. That was only possible because of the incredible support from Hospice. Hospice gave my mum peace, dignity, and comfort.
Now, I’ve been offered a charity place in the London Marathon to raise money for Hospice. I used to run several marathons a year, but since having two kids in the past three years, running has taken a backseat. So, this will truly be a “couch to marathon” journey, one built on love, gratitude, and a lot of determination!
I’m running to honour my mum. To thank Hospice for helping her die the way she wished. And to show my wee ones how important it is to care for others, to make time for your health, and to do hard things for a good reason.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps Hospice continue to provide comfort and care to other families facing the most difficult moments of their lives.
If you can, please support me on this journey. Thank you for reading!
