Story
In just under two weeks, I’ll be taking part in Walk This Way, alongside Tiago, Bridie, Paul Alex and Kelly to help raise funds to improve healthcare for everyone across Kingston and Richmond.
This walk is particularly special to us. ❤️
As many of you know, nearly a year ago my sister Lea was admitted to Kingston Hospital, where she went on to spend three long months on the Surgical Unit - Astor Ward. It was an incredibly difficult and worrying time for all of us, but throughout her stay, the care she received was amazing.

The doctors, nurses and staff did everything they could to make sure she had the very best chance of healing and recovering after her surgery. During those three months, Lea got to know so many of the team by name, and they treated her with such kindness and compassion. They were also always friendly, reassuring and helpful to us as a family whenever we visited.
Quite simply, they helped save my sister’s life, and that is something we will never forget.
Taking part in this walk is our way of giving something back and saying a heartfelt thank you to the people who cared for Lea when she needed them most.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly to Kingston Hospital Charity, helping to fund new technology, greater comfort for patients and innovative improvements to local healthcare. It will help ensure our NHS teams can continue providing the outstanding care that Lea received to other patients and families across our community.
If you are able to sponsor us, we would be incredibly grateful. ❤️
Thank you so much for your support — it really does mean a lot to all of us.
